Noise, is a funny thing.
That old song that brings back a quaint memory from the past which you can’t help but smile about.
The sounds of the birds reminding you that nature is all around.
That one noise tick tick tick that always drives you insane and you’re not quite sure why tick tick tick.
That’s the one sound I hate the most.
Tick Tick Tick
If I can hear it, it normally means I’m somewhere boring and quiet, just waiting, tick by tick to be released. In the past, these places have been exam halls, waiting rooms even the office.
Wasting time, listening to each tick pass, watching the clock.
Every tick brings me closer to what I enjoy doing.
The freedom of being in control of how I spend each passing second which comes tick free to me.
The freedom to be outside, running, walking, climbing, swimming, writing or taking photos.
Even though I hate the ticks and what they mean to me, they remind me that I need to spend my tick free time wisely as nobody knows how many ticks we have left.
Spend them wisely.
Use them on sounds that make you happy, make you laugh and sometimes make you cry.
I know this doesn’t really fit in with the theme of my blog, but I saw the daily prompt for today and thought I would give it a try. Hope you enjoy.
